The Year in Review (It has seriously been that long since I blogged...)

After more than a year hiatus from blogging, I am BACK!  I swear I thought I blogged just a few months ago! Time is flying by so fast! I am not going to make any promises about how often I will blog, but I'll aim for at least TWICE a year! Haha.  I had good intentions when we moved to Germany, but life with a baby (now a VERY mobile toddler), a full time job, and deployed/TDY husband for a good chunk of the year, it was (apparently) difficult! :)

Well, what has been going on since my last post...

February 2013
We moved into our house here in Germany! I promised pictures of the inside, however, it is not "clean" enough to take pictures, but I promise to get them done soon!

Teagan enjoyed watching the movers bring everything in, and hanging out in her jumperoo!
(Which she outgrew long ago!)

We also went to our first Super Bowl MONDAY (it plays at 1200am here) party!
I also took my first (of MANY) trips to IKEA here in Germany,

And we went to our first Fasching Parade!

March 2013
We started preparing for Heath's deployment and had some fun times navigating around the lovely roadblocks that made our house very difficult to get to for over a month!

Teagan enjoyed March Madness with her daddy :)

At the end of March I also got the opportunity to interview for a job! :)

April 2013

Shortly before Heath left I found out I was selected for the job that I interviewed for! Then, Heath deployed at the beginning of the month.  It was tough, but we made it through.  Teagan was not happy to see her daddy go. I wasn't either, but no pictures of me crying were taken.  :)

In mid April we went on a squadron trip to the Netherlands to a Cheese Farm and the Keukenhof.
We had a great time!

We also had our first family visitor here in Germany! My grandma came here at the end of a trip she went on.  We drove to Rudesheim (about 1.5 hour drive from here) to pick her up and took a FERRY across the Rhein river!!! It was so cool!

My friends also made me a WONDERFUL birthday cake and threw me a party!!!

May 2013

I got the chance to go to my first Dining In with wonderful friends! :)

Teagan and I went with friends to a Zoo about an hour away. Teagan wasn't too excited about the zoo, but I'm sure she would be now!

Teagan also started daycare at the end of May. She wasn't so sure about it at first, but she loves it now!

June 2013

After several months of waiting, I started my job.
Teagan also got really sick this month.  She (and I) spent two nights in the hospital and I think she started a new fashion trend.  Haha.  She was ok after a few days, but it was scary! It also made me actually miss hospital food from the states...

Mystery Meat Breakfast!
Happy baby again!!! Fever free and ready to go home!

July 2013
Teagan had her first 4th of July.  The celebration here was awesome! There were tons of things to do.  Teagan rode a pony and she loved the fireworks (minus the noise)!

August 2013

Our precious baby girl turned 1! I can't believe how much she has grown. It seemed like just yesterday when she was born!

September 2013
We started the month off with a trip to Cheb, Czech Republic for some shopping.
T loved the purses, scarves, and wallets!

Teagan also started taking some steps, not too many, but she walked all on her own
 (usually only when bribed).

The end of the month was super exciting for us! We welcomed back Heath from deployment!!!

Teagan got to practice her walking with her daddy!

October 2013
We took a trip with friends to Burg Eltz, which is close to where we live.  It is awesome to be able to visit so many castles! We are so lucky to be living in such a wonderful place.

We got the opportunity to go grape picking on the Mosel river

Teagan LOVED Halloween! Pumpkin Carving, Trick or Treating, and her Cupcake costume!

Cupcake Costume- Sweet hand-me-down from Kinslee!

November 2013

We took a trip to Garmisch, Germany.  We stayed at Edelweiss and took trips to Neuschwanstein and to the Eisbee.  We also did a lot of relaxing and wandering around Garmisch.

Teagan had some great scenery while she practiced her walking

Eisbee! So pretty! Definitely a longer hike around the lake than we expected, but totally worth the trip.

Teagan loved these chairs by the fireplace at Edelweiss!

December 2013

Santa flew in on an F-16 and Teagan LOVED it!
We took a trip to Cologne for the Christmas markets.  It was so neat, but WAY too packed for this lady!

Teagan loved the Christmas tree!

Teagan LOVED this Santa!

We had these lovely family photos taken by the talented Mr. Justin Benson!

Teagan loved opening presents on Christmas morning!

Our first year in Germany was great. We hope to have many more adventures this year and make sure we take full advantage of living in Europe!
